Whether it becomes Terriermon or Lopmon is based on stats, like many things, and Lopmon normally turns into Prariemon - a mediocre Normal/Steel - unless you give it the Virus that puts it down its other line to turn into a Dark/Fighting with Intimidate and a clearly edited Arbok moveset which then evolves into a Dark/Psychic which is pretty goddamn shitty. Now, you might think that this is good because Terriermon is a pretty well known Digimon and Lopmon was at least a partner. This can become either the Terriermon line (which is bothersome as those usually come from the similar Gummimon) or the Lopmon line and is a Normal type with 60/70/70/65/65/45 stats.

Skullgreymon itself might be something you consider early on as it has 150 Attack and SpA. Ignoring the Skullgreymon bit (which is Fire/Dark), it goes Fire to Fire/Steel to Fire/Ice (as Omegamon) and has a solid movepool. So you want Greymon, but alas, this is the first of a very long line of "attack > def" evolutions and as with most of them it's fucking dumb because Agumon has 70 base Attack and 60 base Defense. but then will turn into Metalgreymon either way, and while Skull was better, Greymon gets you shit like Megahorn. This line is also designed to make you hate yourself because Agumon will turn into either Greymon or SKULLGREYMON. If you know what Agumon is but no other Digimon, yes, this becomes Agumon. Koromon is also a Baby II and is Normal/Fire.
